Abstrakt: Conclusions A method of production of corundum-graphite submerged nozzles with thickening in the slag belt has been developed and introduced. The life of these nozzles in casting of high-manganese types of steel is as high as 700–800 tonnes (four or five heats) under the conditions of casting in the slab continuous casting machines of Cherepovets Metallurgical Combine Converter Shop. The maximum life obtained has been 866 tonnes of steel.
