Abstrakt: Conclusions A study was made of the effect of the diameter of polystyrene balls, and the pH of the suspension, with sulfite lye additions, on the rheological and structural-mechanical properties of the alumina suspensions with polystyrene, and the properties of the heat-insulating articles. It was found that the optimum casting properties are possessed by suspensions of two casting ranges: pH=2.5 (acid deflocculation), and pH=9.5 (alkaline deflocculation). The optimum stabilizing additive is 2% sulfite lye, and with this the optimum casting properties are possessed by the suspension with pH=0.25.
