Abstrakt: Conclusions Effluent from refractories factories can be purified to remove lignosulfonates by flotation. The high efficiency of the process (97–98% separation of lignosulfonates) is achieved by preliminary addition of Fe2(SO4)3, FeCl3, or Fe(OH)3 before flotation. Chlorides of primary aliphatic amines or quaternary salts of pyridine bases containing from 11 to 16 carbon atoms in the alkyl part of the molecule may be used as the flotation-collector reagent.
