Plane-transverse joints of circular and sectoral waveguides

Abstrakt: An analytic solution of the problem of plane-transverse joints of circular and sectoral waveguides is examined. An integral formula with finite integration limits is derived for this purpose for the for product of Bessel functions of the first kind of different orders and different complex arguments. The result is expressed in terms a hypergeometric Gauss series. Numerical examines are provided for joints of circular and 90° sectoral waveguides of the same radius.
