1.The petroleum sulfides obtained from the 170–310°C fraction of Arlan crude by extraction with aqueous sulfuric acid and purified by reextraction or chromatography consists of alkyl thiacyclanes and thiaalkanes (96.1-95.2%), aryl sulfides (0.6–0.8%), and thiophene homologs (3.3–4.0%).2.The data indicate the high selectivity of the method developed for extracting petroleum sulfides; this opens up many possibilities for their use as a new source of chemical raw material.3.It has been established that the results obtained by iodatometric titration of sulfides are low. |
