Abstrakt: 1.Synthetic fatty acids may be used in the preparation of high-quality complex calcium greases capable of operating over a wide range of temperature.2.Synthetic complex calcium greases based on the soaps of SFA fractions from industrial C10-C20 and C17-C20 production have fairly high tensile strengths at 50–80°C, low viscosity at 0°C, good water stability, colloidal stability, and mechanical stability. On testing under bench conditions on roller bearings, these greases were found to be capable of operating at 120–175°C, and even at 200°C for a short time.3.In all operational properties complex calcium greases surpass current general-purpose greases such as solid greases, konstalins, 1–13, etc. They may be used as universal multipurpose greases suitable for use in various mechanisms operating under different operational conditions.
