Conclusions 1.The provision of a good quality of cavitation-resistant hydrotechnical concrete in absorbing formwork with eliminate of asperities of the surface creates a sufficiently reliable counteraction to cavitation erosion for dams with a head up to 100 m.2.The current methods of placing concrete in spillway surfaces do not completely eliminate the formation of cracks and asperities, which leads to cavitation erosion, and therefore it is necessary to take measures to eliminate asperities and seal cracks and pits or to create aeration of the boundary layer.3.With a duration of releasing discharges of about 65 h it was not possible to establish a substantial difference of resistance to cavitation erosion between ski jumps of an situ and precast concrete design.4.When designing a spillway it is necessary to avoid the use of structural elements disturbing the flow and leading to cavitation erosion (niches of the drain pipes, breaks of the surface, etc.). |
