Abstrakt: A study has been made concerning the rheological characteristics of molton impact-resistant polystyrene, under low-frequency (up to 40 Hz) vibrations with a velocity amplitude of the same order of magnitude as the rate of a constant shear flow on which they are superposed. It is shown that under these conditions of deformation at shear rates above 100 sec-1, a melt of this polymer behaves like an inelastic nonlinearly viscous fluid.
