Abstrakt: When diffusion of a vapour in a gaseous medium occurs, any particles suspended in this gaseous mixture will move along the vapour pressure gradient because of the force exerted on them by the diffusing vapour molecules. This effect was first demonstrated by Facy (1) for particulate matter near growing and evaporating water drops.
