Abstrakt: 1.When PMMA is compressed uniaxially during a laser pulse, the angle of incline of the plane of cracking changes relative to the direction of propagation of the active beam and the axis of the applied static load.2.Under static loads greater than (0.8–0.9) pf, laser cracks in PMMA acquire a preferential orientation, i.e., direct anisotropy of crack emergence arises.3.The relationship between the orientation of the plane of laser cracking in PMMA and the magnitude of the static load can be used as an indicator for detecting internal stresses in models of various structures.
