1.For a unidirectional glass-fiber plastic, moisture and cyclic changes in the phase composition of the composite are aggressive factors. The weakest link in a glass-fiber plastic is the interface.2.For a unidirectional organic-fiber plastic, variations of temperature and humidity are aggressive factors. In an organic-fiber plastic, the weakest links are the reinforcing fibers and the matrix.3.When structures made of organic-fiber plastics are subjected to accelerating climatic testing, alternating thermocycling can be replaced by technically simpler thermocycling in the positive temperature range. |
