Abstrakt: The class of rheologically simple polymeric materials is defined. A model, based on the use of the time—stress and time—temperature superposition principles, that permits a compact description of the thermocreep of polymeric materials with physical nonlinearity is examined. The possibility of using this model to describe thermoviscoelasticity in nonstationary stress and temperature loading regimes is demonstrated with reference to the creep of an epoxy-phenolic glass-reinforced plastic in uniaxial tension at 45° to the axes of reinforcement.
