Abstrakt: |
The adsorption of thiophene on γ-Al2O3 in the temperature range from 20 to 450 °C has been studied. It is demonstrated that hydroxyl groups of the surface are not only adsorption sites but also reactants leading to the formation of saturated surface structures. The hydrogenation of surface structures up to a hydrogen pressure of 11 atm was followed IR-spectroscopically in a specially designed cell. The rates of hydrogenation of these species were found to be different. |
