Abstrakt: A skin extensometer has been developed to provide invivo quasistatic elastic measurements of human skin. The instrument incorporates two double‐cantilevered beams to produce uniaxial loads on the skin. The device provides clinical information that aids the surgeon in the design of incisions and excisions.
