Conclusions 1.In all forms of cryptorchidism-bilateral, unilateral, pseudoretention- a decrease in the androgenic function of the testes, which progresses with the age of the patients, was noted.2.The pituitary-gonadal interrelationships in patients with cryptorchidism are nonmonotypic and depend on whether the lesion of the testes and hypothalamo-pituitary system is primary or secondary.3.The potential reserves of the testes in cryptorchidism progressively decrease with age in patients with bilateral and pseudoretention and are preserved in the case of the unilateral process, on account of the functional activity of the testis fixed in the scrotum.4.The increase in T production under the influence of ChG in patients with cryptorchidism does not lead to suppression of the level of FSH in the blood, which is an indication of the absence of any pronounced regulatory influence of androgens on the FSH production by the pituitary. |
