Abstrakt: The effects of mental and emotional stress on the convulsive susceptibility of 100 epileptics with different clinical types of seizures and different localizations of the epileptogenic focus were studied. Emotional factors can increase the frequency of seizures and provoke them in patients with a temporal and subcortical focus and also in patients with multiple foci. A combination of mental activity and photic stimulation in patients with a subcortical focus tends to supress paroxysmal activity; in patients with cortical foci, on the other hand, increased paroxysmal activity is observed under these conditions.
