Whole body elemental compostion was measured by in vivo neutron activation analysis before and after treatment of urinary stoneformers with bendrofluazide for 6 months. There was no significant change in whole body calcium, sodium, nitrogen or body weight. There were significant reductions in whole body potassium (6%), chlorine (7.3%) and phosphorus (1.5%). |
