Abstrakt: The synthetic glucocorticoid, dexamethasone, has been used by investigators studying bovine immune mechanisms to either exacerbate infectious processes or simulate stress-induced steroid-influenced immunosuppression. Considerable differences exist in the literature concerning the effect of dexamethasone on the bovine immune response.
