Abstrakt: This paper proposes an improved model of the optical radiation of the earth?atmosphere system, containing an algorithm for calculating the overall spectral?energy characteristics of scattered solar and intrinsic thermal radiation of the thickness of the atmosphere, based on experimental data concerning the spectral natural scattering and absorption distributions of layers of atmosphere 1 km thick in the altitude range from 0 to 100 km and the 0.1?6-umm spectral region, as well as data concerning the temperature of these layers. Formulas are proposed for calculating the spectral scattering and absorption coefficients of elementary layers of the atmosphere and for calculating the unified effective spectral distributions of radiation scattering simultaneously by molecules and aerosol particles in the atmosphere for various degrees of atmospheric turbidity. These formulas are simpler and more convenient in practice than the known rigorous formulas of radiation-transport theory.
