Enlargement of the frequency validity domain of the guyan transformation

Abstrakt: Methods for selecting the master dofs used in a Guyan static condensation generally aim at finding the eigensolutions of a large model from a condensed problem. This article deals with the use of the Guyan matrix as a singular transformation matrix applied to the problems of adaptation between structure and model encountered in the parametric identification of models from test results. What we propose is a method for selecting a number c of masters dofs using a truncated basis of eigensolutions and the QR algorithm. The method helps maximize the cutoff frequency and minimize errors due to expansion. Two numerical examples serve to illustrate the potential of the method.
