Energy dependences of ion-induced photon emission from single crystals under ion bombardment at grazing incidence

Abstrakt: The angular dependences of the intensity of photon emission of the atoms sputtered from copper crystals under 10-30 keV noble gas ion bombardment at glancing angles are studied experimentally. The dependences obtained are compared with the angular dependences of sputtering yields. The analogies and differences in the angular dependences of the light emission and of sputtering yields are discussed.
