| Abstrakt: | Using a steady state concentration method we have measured the rate constants of reactions of radicals, formed upon addition of OH and eaq to pyrimidine base thymine (T) - (T+OH)=R1 and (T+e-aq)=R2 with methanol. We find K=(0.8±0.2).104 M-1 sec-1 and K > 2,3.103 M-1 sec-1 respectively. |
