Abstrakt:	The norditerpenoid alkaloid lycaconitine (2) was synthesized from lycoctonine (3) and its affinity determined for two neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptor subtypes. The structure of 2 was confirmed by a combination of spectroscopic methods.
