Extracts of thirteen Malaysian Goniothalamus plants and two other annonaceous plants (Disepalum and Mezzetia species) were screened for bioactive components. Larvicidal principles include four classes of natural products (acetogenins, styrylpyrone derivatives, dioxoaporphines and flavanones) which account for their ethnobotanical uses. |
