Abstrakt: |
The present research aims to examine the influence of stereotypes and collective representations in learning and in competence of Italian as a foreign language L2 by jordanophone learners in a guided context. Findings are presented and discussed in terms of the effectiveness of the positive/negative collective representations and stereotypes on the level of the communicative competence. In line with the results of the research, it is confirmed that the outcomes show that communicative competence in Italian language L2 is proportionally related to the positive stereotypes and collective representations that Jordanian learners have of Italians and Italian culture.
