An interview with professor and dental surgeon Paulo Sérgio Perri de Carvalho is presented. Topics discussed include the expectations and difference in responsibility between an assistant doctor of philosophy (PhD) and a full time professor, the application of scientific evidence to surgical procedures and practice, and the advantages and disadvantages of auto and xenograft. Information on the motivation of de Carvalho to obtain a solid career in dentistry is also given. |
