Abstrakt: Several poems by Nicelle Davis are presented. "What became of my younger self." First Line: She cuts her face into quarter slices and feeds them to her alligator; Last Line: singing :or what is buried—calling what's been lost up from compost. "I found my own, I must have eaten it not knowing." First Line: This morning I woke as a sword swallower with my hand half- Last Line: its self touch, showed an image of a clown the size of my parlor. "My understanding of love from a man—or—The Rubber Boy." First Line: Straitjacket routine done backwards— Last Line: watch his heart beating.
