Abstrakt: The article provides information on a project started in 1987 by the Department of Public Works and Government Services Canada to conserve the bronze statues near the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, Ontario. Details are provided on the the analysis of corrosion products from the statues, which are noted as dating between 1885 and 1992. Information is also included on changes to the color of treated bronzes and how that influences future conservation efforts, methods, and techniques for preserving the statues.
