The article offers information on a study to examine the resonance strategies in rock singers during production of high notes using reinforced falsetto. Topics discussed include selection of participants from different amateur rock bands for the study with no vocal pathology, dependence of formant frequencies on the length of the vocal tract and the cross-sectional shape of the vocal tract as a function of its length, and articulatory-acoustic relationships. |
