The article offers news briefs related to provincial and territorial water policy in Canada as of July 1, 2014. The Bill 18-2014, the Water Sustainability Act, was passed by the government of British Columbia, following its introduction in March 2014. A new wetlands policy comes into effect in Alberta. Dale Hjertaas, executive director of the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority, states that the existing Saskatchewan Watershed Authority Act should be modernized to keep up with policy changes. |
