The article discusses the monitoring techniques for chemical treatment to prevent internal corrosion in pipelines, such as checking chemical inhibitor residuals to determine allowable injection rate, applying an injection rate above the recommended dosage for optimum treatment, and selection of a tailor-made chemical based on pipeline operating conditions. Graphical charts are also presented to demonstrate poor and good monitoring based on quantitative indicators like average injection rates. |
