The article focuses on the first record of the sighting of a Pallas's Leaf Warbler, also called Phylloscopus proregulus, in Iran on October 27, 2013. It offers information on the bird including breeding grounds in the southeastern Russian Federation, Mongolia and China, wintering grounds in China and Vietnam and features including yellowish wing bars, dark eye stripe and pale legs. It mentions the coincidence of the sighting with the peak period of occurrence in Europe in October and November. |
