The article discusses a survey study of the men in the U.S. Virgin Islands about their understanding of health and their health concerns. Topics covered include the high percentage of African-American men on the islands who are concerned with their health, the need to understand the men's perceptions of health in order to understand health disparities and the similarities in the health patterns and behaviors between Arfican-American men on the U.S. mainland and those on the U.S. Virgin Islands. |
