The article discusses the story of the S-500 electric guitar from guitar design and production company G&L designed by founders Leo Fender and George Fullerton with guidance from sales vice president Dale Hyatt. It says that the S-500, which was introduced in March 1982, was Fender's first attempt to refine his three-pickup S-type design. It states that the guitar had its roots in the F-150 and T-400 guitars and mentions the Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups designed by Fender in 1979. |
