The article discusses the reported efforts to reduce construction company insolvency in places such as Australia, focusing on a subcontractor-related proof of payment requirement in Australian standard form construction contracts, as well as information about a "supporting statement" requirement in New South Wales (NSW). According to the article, NSW was the first Australian jurisdiction to enact construction industry payment legislation. Several Australian and NSW statutes are also examined. |
