The article presents a comment on Pyszora and colleagues' studies on applying neuropsychological and psychological measures on amnesic violent offenders. Topics discussed include the definition of dissociative amnesia according to French neurologists Jean-Martin Charcot and Pierre Janet, the two main goals in evaluating a nondissociative amnesic individual and the limitations of the studies conducted by Pyszora and colleagues. |
