The article discusses compelled commercial speech (CS) in America in relation to the legal aspects of consent and freedom of speech rights under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as of 2014. Disclosure of information law and speech-related restraints are addressed, along with the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in the 1985 CS-related case Zauderer v. Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Supreme Court of Ohio. The U.S. Constitution's Commerce Clause and state police powers are examined. |
