The article examines the seismic reflection profiles of the Davie Ridge offering information on different crustal domains off Mozambique. Noted is the seismic data showing very weak seaward sloping volcanic layers on two profiles close to the modern continental margin. The continent-ocean transition along the refraction profiles is observed to be very close to the coast and that the transition area is very sharp. |
