Abstrakt:	The article features the Caixa Trio composed of members Julie Davila, Julie Hill and Amy Smith. Previously residing in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the percussionists established the ensemble and focused on visual and choreography during performances. The musicians now live in separate places but continue to conduct a Caixa camp annually. Also mentioned is the composition Fora da Caixa by composer Andy Smith.
