The article describes the Interstate 10 Calcasieu River Bridge that stands at the edge of Lake Charles in Louisiana. Topics include the 1975 thriller "The Drowning Pool" directed by Stuart Rosenberg and starring Paul Newman which shows the Pistol Bridge, Bridge designer Norman Lant's design of the bridge which arched 135 feet above the river and decorated with crossed pistols railings, and the repair work done in 2012 that strengthened the bridge with new girder pins. |
