STATUS OF INSECTIVOROUS PLANTS IN NORTHEAST INDIA.

Abstrakt: The article offers information on the five insectivorous genera found in northeast India. These include Nepenthes, known as tropical pitcher plant, Drosera or sundew, Utricularia or bladderwort, Aldrovanda or waterwheel plant and Pinguicula or butterwort with a total of 21 species. Topics discussed include climatology and chorology in northeast India, description of the species found such as Pinguicula alpina, and conservation status of species like Nepenthes khasiana.
