The article presents information on a study which examined the perceptions, motivations and pressures of contribution experienced by Olympic athletes. Topics discussed include review of previous literature on the perspectives of Olympic athletes with regard to their contributions as high-profile athletes, profile of the two participants in the study who are Canadian Olympians, definition of contribution, nature of contributions and implications of the research findings. |
