The article discusses the strategy of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the development of traditional medicine from 2014-2023. Topics discussed include use of traditional and complementary medicines (T&CM) in the preparations of herbal medicines, contribution of traditional medicines to wellness and people-centered health care and goals of the strategy including strengthening quality assurance, safety and effectiveness of T&CM by regulation of its products, practices, and practitioners. |
