The article discusses the results of a study that examined the occurrence of Syrian Serins Serinus syriacus wintering in northern Iraq. Topics discussed include the findings that the five skins collected in the British Museum of Natural History were not Syrian Serins but European Serins Serinus serinus, the birds collected in Iraqi Kurdistan and an uncommon winter visitor to northern Iraq. |
