The article discusses research assessing the relative growth and reproductive parameters in a population of spider crab (Microphrys bicornutus) from Bocas del Toro, Caribbean Sea, Panama. The authors measured the population size structure, secondary sexual characters in both sexes, and the fecundity of females from 135 individuals captured by hand and a kick net. The correlation between fecundity and body size, based on the carapace width and length of females, is discussed. |
