The article describes the case of a five-year-old doe with breeding history unknown presenting at the clinic for assistance in giving birth. Vaginal examination indicated the anterior presentation of the fetus with flexed knee joint that blocks the birth canal that liquid paraffin was used to lubricate the birth passage and delivery of the dead fetus was through the application of judicious traction. It discusses safe techniques for relieving dystocia, fluid therapy and anti-inflammatory drugs. |
