Abstrakt: The article discusses a study which examined temporal and spatial change on water quality, as well as changes on the amount of catches of Japanese blue crab and black sea bream in Osaka Bay, Japan. Particular focus is given to the link between water quality improvement and fishery resources variation. Topics discussed include chemical oxygen demand (COD), dissolved oxygen (DO), and Japanese blue crab catches-COD link.
