The article discusses the use of hedge fund by the financial firms in Brazil to protect assets and liabilities from risks related to the exchange variations in foreign currency. It examines the highest use of hedge by the New Market segment with special reference to the sector Non-cyclic Consumption. It also notes that the Construction and Transport section and the Information Technology section have used the hedge least. |
