Abstrakt: | The article discusses the court case Inglis v. British Columbia (Minister of Public Safety) wherein two mothers filed a suit on behalf of mothers incarcerated in the British Columbia Corrections system over the cancellation of the Alouette Correctional Centre for Women's (ACCW) Mother Baby Program. The British Columbia Supreme Court affirmed the supremacy of the mother-child bond and the family unit. Justice Carol J. Ross said that the best interests of the child is important in human rights. |
