The article explores the funerary rituals among the people in the Andes Mountains. The beliefs of the Andean people about death and the afterlife based on the Inca system are discussed. The rites and ceremonies in preparing the dead body, the tomb and the way to the cemetery are described. The celebration of the festivity of the dead on November 1 is highlighted. |
